FAQ
-
What should I bring to the initial meeting?
We will shout you a coffee and have a chat about the ideas you have. Just bring yourselves and a whole bunch of ideas!
-
Who will be working on my drawings?
We work with the lovely Fran at Frans Plans. Fran has all the knowledge and expertise to bring your ideas to fruition.
-
How long until you start my build?
Depending on variations on the concept plan, we could be ready to submit into council three months from the initial meeting. Once approved by council (20 working days), we will be ready to turn dirt!
-
How long does the build take?
Typically this would be a year-long process with the build itself, we’d allow nine months.
-
How often can I expect updates?
Through the build process itself, updates will be emailed fortnightly by our admin staff. They will send you a brief rundown on where the build is at, including photos.
-
Can we use our own subcontractors?
Ground Up Homes has a great range of subcontractors that we have worked closely with for many years. This guarantees quality work finished in a timely manner.
-
What decisions do I need to make regarding materials and when do I need to make them?
Regarding materials, you would ideally want everything confirmed in the concept plan. Working with Fran, she has a broad knowledge of all the materials available and what would work best for your style and budget.
-
How much does it cost to build?
The cost of the build is determined by your vision and what you are wanting to spend. But we can work with any budget, and we will know final cost of the build from the quantity surveyor we engage with. This is the price that will be supplied in your Building Contract.
